India Invites U.S. Universities to Establish Campuses: India has invited American universities to set up offshore campuses, as stated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Coaching Institute Fined for Misleading Ads on IIT selections: The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) fined IITian’s Prashikshan Kendra Pvt. Ltd. Rs.3 lakh for making false claims about IIT-JEE results. The institute misled students by exaggerating its success rate. So far, CCPA has issued 46 notices and fined 24 coaching centers ?77.6 lakh for similar deceptive advertisements, ensuring transparency in education marketing. (Zee)

Kerala Opposes Draft UGC Regulations: Kerala Higher Education Minister R Bindu announced that the state will consider legal action against the draft UGC regulations-2025, citing constitutional violations. CBI Arrests NAAC Officials in Bribery Scandal; Raids Uncover Cash and Gold: On February 1, 2025, the CBI arrested the chairman and six members of a NAAC Inspection Committee for allegedly accepting bribes to manipulate accreditation ratings. CISCE to Introduce AI, Robotics in Class 11-12 Curriculum from 2025: From the 2025-26 session, CISCE will introduce robotics and AI as subjects for Classes 11 and 12, aligning with NEP 2020. CTET : Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Apply by 21 Jul CTET online application states from 22 June 2018 and the last date to apply is 21st Jul. Examination is on 16 Sept. CTET is conducted by CBSE to qualify teachers for class 1 to 8 and is mandatory for teaching in government schools.

IGNOU Admissions 2018 Begins -Apply by 15 July. Admissions open for various Bachelor and Master's degree programmes for the July 2018 academic session.
